I hope you enjoy this little photo gallery.
One of my favourite images of Liverpool’s most famous sons – taken very early, one very cold rainy winter morning.
A monthly feature shot posted as our American cousins celebrate Thanksgiving. Also a bit of a Rememberance Day for us too, of an awesome roadtrip earlier in 2015.
Remember, spooky things can happen in libraries after dark, especially when there’s a magician about….
Time for a quick reminder of one of my favourite aspects of the job – but who doesn’t love a white wedding!!!
Keeping up the Beatle’s Theme – Paul Jones of The Cavern Club Beatles, on stage during 2014’s International Beatle Week Festival in Liverpool.
Part of a series of event photography images commissioned by The Cavern Club, Liverpool, celebrating 50 years since The Beatles Hard Day’s Night movie premiere with a dinner at Liverpool Town Hall.
Very good friends The ROCKiTS playing a charity gig in aid of Help For Heroes. The venue was a marquee, the lighting a combination of fairly low power LED stage lamps combined with careful use of multiple off-camera flash units to give that something extra, without destroying the moment. The sound – excellent as always.
After each of my weddings I like to post a little ‘teaser’ online for the Bride & Groom, ahead of them seeing their proof images. Here’s one from Amanda & Kev’s wedding…
Our fabulous model for the day Emma, enjoying a moment in the fabulous Victoria Baths in Manchester (well worth a visit!). Emma, Jez & Chris all helped by modelling on our Photographer’s Workshop Day in March. This image was photographed on film using my 1968 Bronica medium format film camera, for that authentic vintage look.
This is perhaps nothing too out of the ordinary, a casual portrait of my Son. What makes it special for me is photographing it on a 45 year old Bronica S2 film camera, the good old fashioned way.
I love the fairly hard low winter light streaming in through the Church windows for this Christening. It’s the second winter event I’ve photographed in that Church in Croston, Lancashire and both have had the same quality of light. I also love the other stories this picture tells…
Bonfire Night this year was an incredibly clear crisp night. I was hoping that a vantage point on a hill above Longridge would have given a clear view of lots of fireworks. Although that didn’t quite work out, the view of the stars was absolutely stunning and far more impressive than any fleeting flash and bang of fireworks – what an amazing universe we live on the edge of…
Mark & Sheriden allowed me to photograph their wedding day and now are celebrating the birth of their first daughter. This is one image from a fabulous newborn baby portrait session.
A tender moment shared between bride Danielle and her father, moments before he escorted her to join her groom Lee at their wedding in St. Annes.
Chris Grindrod, Bassist with The Rockits and formerly Kingdom of Deadmen and The Hotdogs on a visit to the studio.
Product photography, showcasing the handmade bunting products of our good friend Jenny of Dollyblue Bunting.
A local hero? This portrait doesn’t need too much explanation…
When my little sister-in-law was expecting her baby (a little boy as it happens), she was also expecting to be pressed into service modelling her bump. It wasn’t a disappointment either – she loved the results.
