This weekend has seen us heading north through some majestic highland scenery, to reach Loch Goil and the exclusive waterside hotel The Lodge. There aren’t too many venues that boast their own tree-house, but that’s one of the many touches that attracted Naomi and Fiona to travel there for their Civil Partnership. After photographing a Friday evening barbecue for their closest family and friends, my working day started in earnest, photographing the Girls being pampered after their breakfast, their hair and make-up being prepared, photographing their rings and the venue itself, then their guests arriving.
The sun shone down on them all day, allowing them to exchange rings and sign the register literally on the shores of Loch Goil. After a combination of group, portrait and candid casual photography, the wedding party and their guests enjoyed their wedding breakfast. As the day moved on and the afternoon sun moved through to Scottish evening light and night, the party carried onwards – helped by The Lodge’s collection of single malts.
Huge congratulations are due to Naomi and Fiona on their special day. Also equally huge thanks to their family and friends for the warmth of their hospitality and similarly to the fantastic staff at The Lodge.
Some 1,100 raw images later I’m now filtering down the set to be presented to Naomi and Fiona as their proof images. These will be used to create some unique products to their exact specification, whether it be amazing wall art, a bespoke traditional album or ultra-modern Italian photobook. The choice is theirs.
Congratulations and Thank You Ladies.
