Yesterday saw 10 amateur photographers and three models visiting the historic Victoria Baths in Manchester for a special Photography Workshop organised and hosted by Stuart Homer Photography Ltd.
Victoria Baths is probably the UK’s finest example of it’s kind which fortunately has risen from the ashes of dereliction, to today be undergoing restoration towards its former glory.
During our visit our intrepid (and warmly clad) photographers were allowed to freely roam through the buildings which include the majestic tiled entrance halls, pools, waiting rooms, changing cubicles, balconies and even the plant room. For some of the visiting photographers the original Victorian architecture and detailing were more than enough to make the day very special.
For others though huge thanks are due to Emma, Jez and Chris as models for the day. Their enthuasiasm and energy was without bounds as they brought the venue to life. Jez as a professional magician and assistant Emma filled every moment they weren’t in front of a camera with magic (literally), whilst musician Chris fought off the after effects of two late nights professionally gigging to work some magic of his own.
Based upon the success of this event, plans are definitely afoot for some more similar events – please let me know if you’re interested…
Some of the day’s photographs can be found on their Gallery Page here.
